Nyungwe National Park Tour-Chimpanzees and Monkeys

Pick up from the airport and drive to Nyungwe National park which will take 4-5 hours. Nyungwe a home to chimpanzees and some other primates such as Angola colobus and Lhotse’s monkeys. There is a variety of hiking and walking trails. Some of the birds found in this forest include the Albertine Rift Endemics like the Rwenzori Turaco, Handsome Francolin, Mountain Black Boubou, Rwenzori Batis, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Archer’s Robin-chat, the rare Grauer’s Rush Warbler, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Neumann’s Warbler, the near-endemic Kungwe Apalis the attractive Mountain Masked Apalis, and a cluster of colourful Sunbirds including Ruwenzori Double-collared, Purple-throated, Blue-headed and the stunning Regal Sunbird, Stripe-breasted Tit and Strange among others. You will have your lunch and dinner at Top View Hotel and stay there for a night.wake up early in the morning and drive to the park information center at 5 AM, drive to the small fragmented forest (cyamudongo) where the chimps located and spend there couple hours enjoying, by the chance meet other primates like the Angola colobus which are now extinct in Angola, the beautiful red tailed monkey, golden monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Olive baboon and the Silver monkeys and large number of amazing bird species. After drive back to the hotel and relax, have lunch. In the afternoon we will offer you a community walk in case you want and be back for dinner and sleep.After breakfast you will driven back to Kigali, en route visit the Kitabi ecocenter for experiencing community conservation concepts they have on Nyungwe national park and head to National Ethnographic Museum that is located in Huye. After have lunch in Huye then drive to Kigali airport for your departure flight.
